Ant Group asked by Chinese regulators to share consumer data:WSJ |
The WSJ reported that Chinese regulators are pressuring the Ant Group to share their consumer-credit data. Regulators believe that Ant collects users' personal data from Alibaba's payment app Alipay, giving it an unfair advantage over small lenders and big banks, the report said. Ant may need to feed its data into a nationwide credit-reporting system operated by a Chinese national bank.
